
Olivia Miranda
Olivia Miranda graduated from The Ailey School and Fordham University in 2018 with a B.F.A. in Dance and English. She currently dances with Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater and previously performed with Ballet Hispanico’s BHdos. Throughout her professional career, Olivia has had the opportunity to perform works by renowned choreographers and artists, including Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Colby Damon, Graham Lustig, Riccardo de Nigris, Andrea Weber, and Kanji Segawa. Her performance experience includes appearances at prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center and the historic Apollo Theater, where she has continued to develop her artistry, versatility, and presence as a contemporary dancer.
In addition to performing, Olivia is an accomplished choreographer who has created and presented original work at a variety of festivals, theaters, universities, and arts organizations. Her choreography has been featured at the Asbury Park Dance Festival, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Dixon Place, Rider University, The Tank NYC, and Bell Works. Through her creative work, Olivia explores movement as a form of storytelling and self-expression, bringing together her diverse training and experiences to create thoughtful and engaging choreography.
Olivia is also passionate about dance education and has taught throughout New Jersey for more than six years. She enjoys helping dancers strengthen their technique while encouraging confidence, creativity, musicality, and individuality. As a certified yoga instructor, she incorporates her knowledge of alignment, flexibility, strength, breath, and body awareness into her teaching and artistic practice. Olivia is dedicated to inspiring young dancers and helping them develop both as artists and as individuals while continuing to grow in her own career as a performer, choreographer, and educator.
