Mary Ann Massa was born and raised in Old Bridge, New Jersey, and began her training at Dance Stop Dance Education Center, under the direction of Gina Forcella. Here she studied ballet, pointe, modern, tap, contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop. Mary Ann’s passion grew for this art form, which she then knew she wanted to further her training and become a professional dancer.

In 2015, she moved to New York and studied at The Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College to earn her BFA in Dance. She Graduated with Dean’s List all four years and a concentration in ballet. During her time at Purchase, she had the opportunity to perform works by George Balanchine, Norbert De La Cruz lll, Betty Jane Sills, Michelle Thompson Ulerich, and Sturt Loungway. Mary Ann got to go to Taiwan and performed a duet choreographed by Norbert De La Cruz lll in the Kuan Du Arts Festival. She also got to perform at New York Live Arts twice with Purchase Dance Company.

Mary Ann is currently dancing professionally in the city and is looking forward to upcoming opportunities in the dance field. She is very passionate about teaching and is excited to work the talented students!
